Messaging Program

Last updated: August 15, 2026

This page describes the text message (SMS) program operated through RelationshipOS, a patient operations platform provided by Alder Meridian LLC. It is published so that patients, clinics and mobile carriers can see exactly what messages are sent, to whom, how often, and how to stop them.

Program name

RelationshipOS Appointment Notifications

Who sends these messages, and to whom

RelationshipOS is used by healthcare clinics to manage appointments and ongoing care. When a clinic uses our messaging feature, appointment messages are sent by that clinic to its own patients, delivered through the RelationshipOS platform.

You will only receive messages if you are an established patient of a clinic that uses RelationshipOS and you have given consent to receive text messages from that clinic. We do not send messages to anyone who is not a patient of a participating clinic, and we never message purchased, rented or third-party lists.

Why these messages are sent

Messages exist to reduce missed appointments and save patients a phone call. They are transactional and service-related — confirming a booking you made, reminding you of a visit you scheduled, or telling you a request has been handled.

We do not send marketing or promotional text messages under this program.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies and depends on how often you have appointments. A typical patient receives 2–5 messages per month. A patient with no upcoming appointments may receive none at all.

What the messages look like

Messages contain only the information needed to identify the appointment — the clinic name, date and time. They deliberately do not contain treatment details, medication names, lab results, diagnoses, or any other clinical information.

How patients opt in

Consent is given by the patient, to their clinic, inside the RelationshipOS patient portal at that clinic's own web address. It is never given on the patient's behalf and is never a condition of receiving care.

The patient signs in to their portal, opens Communication Preferences, enters their mobile number and ticks an unchecked box carrying this exact language:

Text message reminders. I agree to receive appointment reminders and confirmations by text message from [Clinic Name] at the mobile number provided. Message frequency varies; approximately 2–5 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. Text messages are not encrypted and could be seen by anyone with access to my phone. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of any purchase or of receiving care. See the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

The box is unchecked by default and must be actively selected. The date, time and method of consent are recorded. Patients can withdraw consent at any time from the same screen, or by replying STOP to any message.

A note for carrier reviewers. Because RelationshipOS serves patients of individual healthcare clinics, the opt-in form sits behind a patient login and cannot be reached publicly without a patient account — protected health information is behind that boundary. The consent language reproduced above is the exact wording presented at opt-in. Access for verification purposes can be arranged on request: compliance@relationshipos.health.

How to stop messages

Reply STOP to any message to be unsubscribed immediately. You will receive one final message confirming that you have been opted out, and no further texts will be sent unless you opt in again.

You can also turn text messages off at any time in your patient portal under Communication Preferences, or by contacting your clinic directly.

Opting out of text messages does not affect your care, your appointments, or your ability to use the patient portal. Appointment information remains available in the portal, and your clinic can still reach you by other means.

How to get help

Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact your clinic directly. For questions about the messaging program itself, email support@relationshipos.health.

Carriers and costs

Message and data rates may apply. These are set by your mobile carrier, not by RelationshipOS or your clinic. Message delivery is subject to your carrier's network and is not guaranteed. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy

Mobile phone numbers collected for this program are used only to deliver the messages described on this page. Mobile information will never be shared or sold to third parties or lead generators. No mobile data is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes at any time. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

Supported carriers

Messages are supported on major US carriers including AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Sprint, US Cellular, Boost, Cricket, MetroPCS, Virgin Mobile and others. Carrier support may change without notice.
